Music from across the decades!

If you love music as much as I do, this section is perfect for you. You'll discover tunes from every decade and nearly every genre right here!

(George Michael not included)

Kik Tracee

No Rules (1991)

I love this album. Although it’s not from my youth since I was 19 when it came out, it’s still an amazing record. Before continuing with the article, I want to share the track listing of the songs.

1. Don't Need Rules

2. Mrs. Robinson

3. You're So Strange

4. Trash City

5. Hard Time

6. Big Western Sky

7. Generation Express

8. Soul Shaker

9. Tangerine Man

10. Lost

11. Velvet Crush

12. Rattlesnake Eyes (Strawberry Jam)

13. Romeo Blues

14. Fade Dunaway

These songs are fantastic. My favorite song on the album is definitely Big Western Sky. There's just something about that song that makes me feel so happy. Now, don't get me wrong, the whole album is great, but that one outshines them all. Their cover of Mrs. Robinson is solid as well. I can't remember why I grabbed this album. I hadn't heard anything from it until I bought it. The cover isn't anything that really stands out, but something told me to buy it.

If you enjoy "hair metal," this one's for you. I'm not a big fan of subgenres in music—I understand their purpose, but to me, this is just rock music. I'll be doing a Grandpa's Playlist feature on this album on Vortex Radio this fall, so stay tuned for that. I have no idea what happened to this band. They released this album right around the time grunge hit the scene, but they only put out this and one EP before disappearing. I wish they'd come back and try their hand at some new music. I'll do more research on the band for my show, but for now, head to your favorite streaming service and check out this gem!

Until next time, keep on rocking!! 🤘🤘
